Our Approach

We acquire established American businesses to own and operate. Our holding period is measured in decades, not years.

We are not a private equity firm. We do not pursue financial engineering, aggressive debt loading, or strip-and-flip strategies. We buy businesses we believe in, alongside teams we respect, and we grow them carefully.

We come to this work as operators. We have managed P&Ls, led teams, and stewarded businesses and real estate for years. We understand that selling a business is more than a transaction. It is the transfer of something an owner spent a lifetime building, and we approach every conversation with that respect.

Industry

In the Pacific Northwest — businesses we can be at in person:

Skilled trades and specialty contractors: fire and life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, paving, roofing, restoration, and similar trades — including equipment-based businesses where owned assets are part of the moat
Property and facilities management
Home and residential services with repeat or contract-based demand, such as pest control, security monitoring, water treatment, septic, and maintenance plans
Commercial services and maintenance serving businesses, institutions, and government
Specialty manufacturing and fabrication with an installation, inspection, maintenance, or repair component
Sales and service businesses with an established local customer base, including dealerships, rental operations, and equipment service
Recreation, instruction, and event services — including rental and equipment-based operations, youth and adult programs, and established local venues with a long operating history

Anywhere in the U.S. — established remote businesses:

Professional services, consulting, or training firms with recurring client relationships or contract-based revenue
Digitally delivered B2B services, including businesses with a software or licensing component
Health and wellness businesses serving employers, institutions, or healthcare organizations

Demand

We look for demand that regenerates on its own — because assets wear out, regulations require it, or communities keep returning — rather than demand that must be manufactured each year.

Recurring contracts, subscriptions, service agreements, or regulated maintenance requirements
Replacement-cycle demand: paving, roofing, equipment, and infrastructure that must be renewed on a predictable horizon

Financial Criteria

Revenue: $2M–$5M
Cash Flow (SDE): $500K–$1M
We will consider opportunities outside this range when fundamentals are compelling — including motivated seller, enduring competitive moat, strong management in place, or attractive deal structure

Business Profile

Established for at least ten years
Recognized market position, brand, and reputation for quality
Strong customer relationships and repeat business

Operations

We acquire businesses where one of the following is true:

An experienced operational manager is already in place

— or —

An owner is willing to support an extended transition and maintain meaningful skin in the game post-close

We are comfortable acquiring businesses where systems and processes need to be modernized — that is part of the value we bring.
